Itinerary
Upon arrival at Keflavík International Airport, meet your guide and begin
your Icelandic adventure. Drive through the stunning Icelandic
countryside toward the Golden Circle region. Experience the Geysir
geothermal area where steaming vents and erupting geysers showcase
Iceland’s volcanic power, followed by a visit to the majestic Gullfoss
waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. After enjoying
the Golden Circle highlights, continue your scenic journey toward the
south to reach Hella, surrounded by peaceful landscapes. Arrive and
check in, followed by dinner and relaxation after a long travel day.
After breakfast, begin exploring Iceland’s dramatic south coast. Visit
Seljalandsfoss, a beautiful waterfall where you can walk behind the
cascading curtain of water, and then continue to Skógafoss, another
powerful waterfall famous for its misty rainbows. Continue your
adventure with a walk toward the Sólheimasandur plane crash site, an
iconic photography location set on a black sand desert. Proceed to the
charming village of Vík for lunch before visiting Reynisfjara, one of the
world’s most striking black sand beaches with basalt columns and

waterfalls, Dettifoss, where the roaring water demonstrates the
unbelievable strength of Icelandic nature. From there, visit the Hverir
geothermal area, featuring boiling mud pools, steaming vents, and
otherworldly terrain. Continue to explore the mystical lava formations of
Dimmuborgir, often referred to as “the Dark Cities,” followed by a visit to
the Skútustaðir pseudo-craters formed by volcanic eruptions. Arrive in
the Lake Mývatn region, check in, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight
surrounded by one of Iceland’s most unique natural environments.
After breakfast, depart toward Goðafoss, the waterfall of the gods, which
holds cultural as well as natural significance in Iceland’s history.
Continue to Akureyri, known as the capital of the north, for a brief city
orientation where you can enjoy charming streets, scenic fjord views,
and local atmosphere. After lunch, begin your drive across the northern
coast toward West Iceland, passing beautiful landscapes, mountains,
valleys, and coastal scenery along the way. Continue onward to
Stykkishólmur, where you will check in, enjoy dinner, and rest for the
night.
After breakfast, depart for another scenic travel day through the
Skagafjörður region, known for its traditional horse farms and open
green valleys surrounded by mountains. Continue your journey toward
the west where you will visit the picturesque and uniquely formed
Hraunfossar waterfalls, flowing out of lava fields into a blue river, along
with the nearby Barnafoss waterfall with its dramatic rapids. Enjoy the
peaceful surrounding landscapes and fresh Icelandic air before
continuing to your accommodation area in West Iceland.
After breakfast, begin exploring the striking Snæfellsnes Peninsula,
often called Iceland in miniature due to its variety of landscapes. Visit the
iconic Kirkjufell mountain and Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, one of the m
ost photographed locations in Iceland. Continue along the peninsula to
experience dramatic cliffs, lava fields, and coastal scenery, including
Djúpalónssandur black pebble beach and the impressive rock
formations and sea cliffs at Arnarstapi. Later, drive toward Reykjavík,
Iceland’s capital city, where you will enjoy dinner at a restaurant, check
in, and stay overnight.
After breakfast and checkout, enjoy free time in Reykjavík for shopping
and leisure along Laugavegur shopping street and take a photo stop at
Hallgrímskirkja church. Continue the day with a visit to Þingvellir
National Park viewpoint, where Iceland’s history and geological wonder
meet. Then drive to the Blue Lagoon for an optional geothermal spa
experience or visit alternative sightseeing spots such as Gunnuhver
