Itinerary

We gather with our fellow travelers at Cochin International Airport, filled with excitement as our journey begins. After completing group check-in and immigration formalities, we board our Malaysian Airlines flight bound for Shanghai via Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival in Shanghai, China’s most dynamic and cosmopolitan city, we immediately get a taste of its futuristic spirit with a ride on the world-famous Maglev Train. In just a few minutes, we glide at breathtaking speeds from the airport to the city center a thrilling start to our adventure! As dusk falls, we relax on a serene Huangpu River Cruise, where the glittering skyline of Shanghai comes alive. The contrast between the illuminated skyscrapers of Pudong and the historic colonial buildings of The Bund creates an unforgettable first impression. We end our day with dinner at restaurant and an overnight stay in Shanghai, the “Pearl of the Orient.”

After breakfast, we begin our exploration of Shanghai’s rich blend of tradition and modernity. Our first stop is the Jade Buddha Temple, a tranquil sanctuary adorned with two exquisite jade Buddha statues brought from Burma. The calm atmosphere offers a glimpse into the city’s spiritual side. Next, we visit a traditional silk factory, where we learn about China’s centuries-old art of silk production from silkworm cocoon to fine fabric. We witness live demonstrations and can browse elegant silk products. We then stroll through the enchanting Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden featuring koi ponds, rockeries, and ornate pavilions. Adjacent to the garden lies Yu Bazaar, bustling with souvenir shops and teahouses. Our day continues with shopping and sightseeing on the iconic Nanjing Road, one of the world’s busiest commercial streets, before we head to the Shanghai Tower, the second-tallest building in the world. Upon arrival, we proceed for dinner and check into our hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Beijing, China’s grand imperial capital.

After breakfast, we embark on one of the most iconic journeys of our trip a visit to the Great Wall of China at Badaling Pass, one of the best-preserved sections of this ancient wonder. We ascend by cable car, taking in the awe-inspiring scenery and the sheer scale of the wall as it winds across mountain ridges. Standing on this centuries-old fortification, we truly appreciate its grandeur a symbol of China’s strength and unity. We then visit a Jade factory, where expert artisans showcase their craftsmanship and explain the cultural importance of jade in Chinese history. In the evening, we are captivated by the Golden Mask Dynasty Show/Acrobatics, a spectacular performance combining dance, and dazzling effects that portray a legendary Chinese queen’s story of love and triumph. Before returning to our hotel, we make a photo stop at Beijing Olympic Park, home to the iconic Bird’s Nest Stadium and Water Cube. Overnight in Beijing.

This morning, we visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world, surrounded by grand monuments of China’s history. From here, we enter the majestic Forbidden City, home to 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. We walk through its grand courtyards, halls, and throne rooms, each echoing the splendor of China’s imperial past. We then visit the elegant Temple of Heaven, an architectural masterpiece where emperors once offered prayers for bountiful harvests. The temple complex reflects the ancient Chinese philosophy of harmony between heaven and earth. After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight to Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka, marking the beginning of a brand-new chapter of our journey. The short flight is not just a change of place, but also a cultural shift—from China to Japan’s blend of tradition and innovation. Upon arrival in Osaka, we are warmly greeted and transferred to our hotel. We later proceed to restaurant for dinner and back to hotel.

We begin the day with the Shinkansen (bullet train) ride, one of Japan’s most iconic travel experiences. Gliding at remarkable speed yet with remarkable comfort, the journey itself is a reminder of Japan’s technological innovation. We arrive in Hiroshima, a city forever remembered for the tragic events of 1945, yet also celebrated for its message of peace and resilience. Our visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a deeply moving experience. This expansive park, dedicated to the victims of the atomic bomb, is both a memorial and a symbol of hope for a nuclear-free world. Walking through its quiet paths, we pause at the Children’s Peace Monument, often adorned with colorful paper cranes sent from around the globe. Nearby stands the Atomic Bomb Dome, preserved as it was left after the bombing. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this haunting yet powerful structure is a stark reminder of the devastation of war and the importance of peace. In the evening, we return to Osaka by Shinkansen. To balance the day’s solemnity, we make a photo stop at Osaka Castle, one of Japan’s most famous landmarks. After a day filled with both reflection and resilience, we return to our hotel in Osaka to rest and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Today we journey to Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan and a city often described as the “keeper of tradition.” With its temples, shrines, and centuries-old customs, Kyoto offers us a glimpse into the soul of Japan. Our first stop is the Samurai and Ninja Museum, where history meets hands-on fun. Here we learn about the legendary warriors of Japan, their discipline, and their way of life. Next, we enter the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, one of the most photographed spots in Japan. Walking through towering green stalks that sway gently in the wind feels almost otherworldly. From there, we continue to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, instantly recognizable by its thousands of vibrant red torii gates winding up the hillside. As evening approaches, we return to Osaka. The day closes with a lively visit to Shinsaibashi, the city’s most famous shopping district. Bright neon lights, endless shops, and bustling crowds create a sharp but thrilling contrast to Kyoto’s tranquility. It’s the perfect chance to shop for souvenirs, try street snacks, or simply soak in the electric energy of urban Japan. After this rich blend of tradition and modernity, we return to our hotel.

Today we travel to Nara, Japan’s first permanent capital and a city steeped in history and spirituality. Known for its UNESCO World Heritage Sites and its harmony with nature, Nara offers a serene yet fascinating contrast to Osaka’s bustling pace. Our exploration begins at Nara Park, one of the city’s most iconic attractions. Here, hundreds of freely roaming deer greet visitors with gentle bows in exchange for special crackers. Considered messengers of the gods in Shinto tradition. We then visit the magnificent Todaiji Temple, home to the world’s largest bronze statue of the Great Buddha . Stepping inside this architectural marvel, we are struck by the sheer scale of the wooden structure—one of the largest of its kind in the world. To round out the day, we stop at the Sumo Museum, a unique space dedicated to Japan’s beloved national sport. Here we learn about the centuries-old traditions of sumo, its rituals, and its cultural significance. In the evening, we return to Osaka.

Today we travel to Nagoya, a city renowned for its role in shaping Japan’s industrial and technological identity. Nagoya represents Japan’s forward-looking spirit of innovation and engineering excellence. Our first stop is the SC Maglev and Railway Park, a must-visit for anyone fascinated by trains and technology. Here, we step into Japan’s proud railway history—from the earliest steam locomotives to the sleek Shinkansen and the cutting-edge maglev trains. Next, we explore the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, which often surprises visitors with its scope and appeal. Housed in the original red-brick Toyota factory, the museum traces the company’s journey from textile machinery to becoming one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers. Our adventure begins with an ascent to Mount Fuji’s 5th Station (weather permitting). Located halfway up Japan’s iconic peak, the station offers breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding valleys and, on clear days, sweeping views all the way to Tokyo. From there, we continue to Owakudani, also known as the “Great Boiling Valley.” This volcanic valley, created by Mount Hakone’s last eruption, is a dramatic landscape of steaming vents and bubbling pools. Next, we enjoy a peaceful cruise on Lake Ashi, a serene crater lake formed by volcanic activity. With the backdrop of Mount Fuji reflecting on the water, this experience feels like stepping into a postcard. In the afternoon, we transfer to Tokyo, the world’s largest metropolis—a city where tradition and innovation collide in dazzling harmony. By evening, we check into our hotel, ready to dive deeper into Tokyo’s endless wonders in the days to come.

Today’s tour is designed to showcase these many faces of Tokyo, offering us a journey through history, spirituality, technology, and city life. We begin with a photo stop at the Imperial Palace, the residence of Japan’s imperial family and home of the world’s oldest continuous monarchy. The iconic Nijubashi Bridge and the surrounding gardens provide a glimpse into the city’s regal heart, where history and heritage still shape modern Japan. From royalty to the future, our next stop is the world-renowned teamLab Borderless digital art museum. This extraordinary space immerses us in a kaleidoscope of light, sound, and motion. As we wander through interactive installations, the art seems to move with us, dissolving the boundaries between reality and imagination. Next, we step back in time with a visit to Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple. Passing through the famous Kaminarimon Gate and strolling along Nakamise Street, we encounter traditional shops selling local crafts and snacks. Next we ascend the Tokyo Skytree, one of the tallest towers in the world. From its observation deck, the glittering panorama of Tokyo stretches endlessly in every direction. As evening falls, we witness one of Tokyo’s most famous spectacles—the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Here, hundreds of people flow across the intersection in perfect synchronization, a mesmerizing display of organized chaos that has become a symbol of Tokyo’s unstoppable energy. After breakfast, we transfer to Narita International Airport (NRT). Our flight takes us via Kuala Lumpur International Airport, where we make a smooth transit before continuing homeward. Finally, we arrive at Cochin\Trivandrum International Airport, where our adventure concludes.
