Exploring India by roads is a dream of many, but all step back from that plan because of the tensions about arrangements and comfort. At that point, we Somans decided to plan an itinerary which focuses on comfort and leisure for all age categories . This is a 41-day tour without a single overnight journey and daily halting in each destination at premium hotels, ensuring proper rest and leisure. Itinerary

The journey begins! We will start the tour around 11:00 AM and drive straight through Kerala’s beautiful countryside to Calicut. We will sit back, relax, and let the excitement of this epic trip sink in.

After breakfast, we will check out around 9:00 AM and head north along Kerala’s scenic coastline toward Udupi. On the way, we will stop after lunch to visit the mighty Bekal Fort in Kasaragod. We expect to reach Udupi, home to the famous Krishna Temple and delicious South Indian food, by 7:30 PM.

We will check out around 8:30 AM, and morning visit to the Udupi Shri Krishna Mattha. Our journey then proceeds to Murudeshwar for lunch. Afterward, we will visit the iconic Murudeshwar Temple, home to the world's second-tallest Shiva statue. Finally, we will drive along excellent roads to the vibrant state of Goa, arriving by 7:00 PM.

We are in Goa celebrating the Goan Carnival..!! We're enjoying the festive vibe and prioritizing the carnival celebrations.If the situation permits, we'll also visit Aguada Fort. And in the evening head to Anjuna and Vagator beaches.

Our journey continues north. This day includes an approximately 8-hour drive with a planned halt in Satara, Maharashtra. This break is necessary because the full distance from Goa to Mumbai is too long to cover comfortably in one stretch.

After checking out from Satara at 10:00 AM, we will proceed to India's financial capital, Mumbai. Our journey takes us across the Atal Setu, India's longest sea bridge. Upon Arrival check into Hotel, a visit to a nearby attraction can be planned based on the hotel's location.

We will enjoy a full day of local exploration with the specially arranged 'Mumbai Darshan Yatra package', giving us an authentic experience of the city. This is a relaxed day that also allows time for the tour drivers to rest and for a vehicle check-up.

Our journey continues to Surat, Gujarat. We expect to arrive around 6:00 PM. After arrival, we have the option to visit Surat's renowned local markets, such as Chauta Bazaar and Old Bombay Market, known for textiles and diamonds, or explore other local attractions if time permits.

After breakfast, we will check out and proceed to the Statue of Unity. We will have lunch before visiting the magnificent statue, which will take at least 2 hours. Afterward, we will drive to Vadodara for an overnight stay.

Today is a short drive to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour, visiting the Sabarmati Riverfront, the historic Sabarmati Ashram, the Adalaj stepwell, and the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple

We will arrive in Udaipur, the "City of Lakes," around lunchtime. After lunch, we will embark on a half-day sightseeing tour, visiting the majestic City Palace and taking in the beauty of Pichola Lake.

We will arrive in Jodhpur, the "Blue City," around lunchtime. After lunch, a half-day sightseeing tour is planned to explore the formidable Mehrangarh Fort and the Umaid Bhavan Palace Museum.

Today, we will explore Rajasthan's authentic desert experience. We'll arrive in Jaisalmer around 3:00 PM. After lunch, we will visit the Jaisalmer Fort before heading to the Sam Sand Dunes for a unique overnight desert stay. Camp which will include cultural programs.

We will arrive in Bikaner after a 7-hour drive. After lunch, we will visit the 16th-century Junagarh Fort and a local Camel Farm before our overnight stay.

The tour continues north with a halt in Bathinda, Punjab. This break is taken because the distance from Bikaner to Amritsar is too long to cover in one stretch.

We will arrive in Amritsar around lunchtime. After lunch, we will proceed to the Wagah border to witness the famous flag-lowering ceremony. Afterward, we will return for an overnight stay in Amritsar.

The day starts with a half-day sightseeing tour in Amritsar, visiting the sacred Golden Temple and the historic Jallianwala Bagh. Afterward, we will proceed to Chandigarh, reaching around 7:30 PM for our overnight stay.

After visiting the Rock Garden in Chandigarh, we will proceed to Manali. We expect to arrive in the evening and check into our hotel.

This is going to be a special occasion on our tour - celebrating Holi in Manali..!! We'll experience the vibrant festival amidst breathtaking scenery. Our itinerary includes local sightseeing to the Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashisht Hot Water Springs,and the Tibetan Monastery.In the evening, if time and situation permit, we'll squeeze in some shopping too.

After breakfast, we will transfer back to Chandigarh for an overnight stay.

Today, we will drive to New Delhi, India’s capital. We expect to arrive around 4:00 PM, allowing time for an optional visit to the Akshardham Temple or attending to personal needs.

A full day is dedicated to exploring the capital's historical and political landmarks. The itinerary includes the Red Fort, Indira Gandhi Museum, President's House & Parliament House (drive-past), Rajghat, Qutub Minar, and India Gate.

We will stop for lunch in Mathura after visiting the local temple. Afterward, we will transfer to Agra to visit the magnificent Agra Fort, followed by an overnight stay in the city.

After a morning visit to the Taj Mahal, we will proceed to Kanpur. Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel.

After arriving in Prayagraj, we will visit Anand Bhavan and Swaraj Bhavan, then proceed to Triveni Sangam for a boat ride. Later, we will check into the hotel.

After arriving in Varanasi post-lunch, the highlight of the day is witnessing the mesmerizing Ganga Arati at Dashashwamedh Ghat. There will also be time for shopping. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

The day begins early (around 4:30 AM) with a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple using VIP Darshan tickets. After returning for breakfast, we will check out and transfer to Bodh Gaya. Upon reaching Gaya, we will visit the sacred Mahabodhi Temple.

To break the long, 12–13 hour journey from Gaya to Kolkata, a strategic halt is planned in Durgapur, West Bengal.

Today we arrive in Kolkata, the "City of Joy." Afternoon we will visit the iconic Howrah Bridge, followed by an overnight stay.

After breakfast and check-out, we will complete a half-day sightseeing tour in Kolkata, visiting the majestic Victoria Memorial Museum and Mother Teresa's House. After lunch, we will transfer to Kharagpur for an overnight stay.

On this day, we will enter the state of Odisha. It's an 8-hour journey to Bhubaneswar, the "Temple City." We can plan to visit the revered Lingaraj Temple upon arrival.

In the morning, we can visit the Mukteshwar Mahadeva Temple in Bhubaneswar. We will reach Puri before lunchtime. After lunch, we will visit the magnificent Konark Sun Temple, ending the day with an overnight stay in Puri.

In the morning, we will visit the Puri Jagannath Temple and then drive to Gopalpur for an overnight stay.

After breakfast and check-out, we transfer to Visakhapatnam. Upon arrival, we will visit the Submarine Museum (INS Kursura) on Ramakrishna Beach and Overnight stay in Visakhapatanam.

After breakfast and check-out, we will proceed to Rajamahendravaram. This is a halting point. Upon arrival, we'll check in and rest.

After breakfast and check-out, we will proceed to Vijayawada. Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel and proceed to visit the Undavalli Caves.

After breakfast and check-out, we proceed to Nellore. Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel and rest.

We will check out from Nellore and transfer to Chennai, arriving around lunchtime. After lunch, we will visit the iconic Marina Beach, followed by an overnight stay in Chennai.

After check-out from Chennai, we will proceed to Pondicherry, visiting Mahabalipuram en route. We expect to reach Pondicherry around 6:00 PM for a leisure evening.

On the second-to-last day, we plan a stay at a premium resort in the hills of Yercaud, Tamil Nadu. This day is meant for total rest and a final get-together with our travel mates, complete with a dinner party.

On the last day of the tour, we will depart from Yercaud, travel via Coimbatore, and conclude our epic journey back in Cochin with an expected arrival around 6:00 PM.
